New Rivian Electric Ute.

Reading user tests on the new Rivian utes towing performance re battery range. Users are saying that towing the max allowable weight is decreasing range by 60% and more. Rivian say 50%. What I found interesting is the battery warranty of ten years or 160,000 kms IF you get the Rivian serviced by an approved dealer. Otherwise battery life and warranty is halved.

It does have a tow capacity of 5 tons.
What would you expect?
Cheers,

Well, I did say "what I found interesting" and I DO, is battery life and the cost to replace the battery pack. Having seen an American test drive video over a stage managed off road course the motoring journo never asked any hard questions of the Rivian manager who was in the vehicle with him, the journalist was fawning all over the manager while looking at all the electronic gizmos but very light treatment of day to day practicalities.

Mike, it is difficult to get accurate figures on those vehicles but that 3.25 T could be GVM as I am pretty sure I read the Tare was 2.6 Tonne.

The link I was on earlier today had a pic of a trailer in PIG configuration connected to it

I am not going back through internet links now as I have better things to do. Maybe tomorrow.!
I am sure Peter will find it or if yobarr gets a hint he will be right onto it. biggrin biggrin
