@Cash-Rewards On the plus side, that color looks fantastic even sitting on the back of a tow truck
-
@Bandit this car better not be a heartbreaker
-
@Cash-Rewards The irony of a Mopar tow truck…
-
-
@Cash-Rewards Bummer. Did you try turning it off and turning it back on again?
-
@Cash-Rewards Natural Habitat......
This sucks, here's hoping it's something simple and not something that will be recurring.
-
that's uh...a nice green?
-
SONOVA
I swear, man, Ford has such appealing products right now, but the reliability stories made it very hard to pull the trigger on one.
Hope they get it sorted out very quickly, and it's just some crazy one-off.
-
@Cash-Rewards Probably a sensor...Probably. Rivian had to replace my battery at 13k miles so it's not that ...hopefully.

I would love to buy a base trim Maverick, but between knowing about Ford's propensity for wet (oil immersed) oil pump drive belt. Nevermind the TSBs or soft recalls over the fuel system issues and so on. Ford somehow compels a person to consider their products and also compel them to step back.
-
They did have that big issue with Mach-Es bricking themselves and stranding people places, but I think that was already fixed with one of the many software updates. This sounds different. Sad times.
-
@Cash-Rewards Dang, that's like only 1.5 tanks of electricity too.
-
@davesaddiction @Krusty-Walnut my very optimistic opinion as an engineer is loose sensor from the factory. Plug in, reset, done.
I hope.
-
It could be many things. We've seen this happen due to air bubbles in the cooling system.
It's under warranty, I wouldn't really care that much. Enjoy your loaner for a couple weeks.
-
-
@Cash-Rewards If it doesn't go well, you've got an early start on a lemon law case..
Document carefully. -
@davesaddiction I like soooo many of their vehicles, and yet, I'm pretty sure I'd never buy one. I specced many a Mach-E and many Mavericks, alas... it ain't meant to be.
-
@MUSASHI66 this is my first American car, period. Let's hope this experience turns itself around

Exactly what I was thinking.
Worst case... he can put it on blocks on his front lawn and admire that nice colour every time he leaves or comes home.
LOL
-
Oh man... I'm sorry to hear/see that. Such a nice looking vehicle. I hope it's a quick/easy fix.
-
@Cash-Rewards That really stinks. Hope you get it back quickly and was a one-off.
@MUSASHI66 I really like 99% of the recent FoMoCo offerings from both an aesthetic and functional standpoint. However, the last 7 vehicles I've purchased have been GMs. Gets under my dad's skin a bit since he's worked in a Ford service dept for the last 40+ years. Hearing him talk about all the issues they go through with corporate to get stuff covered for customers on top of the quality issues has been enough to choose something else. He got himself a Bronco about this time last year and has spent about equal time with and without it for some reason or another. Not a big issue for him since he just grabs a demo off the lot as he needs to.
-
-
What’s the biggest issue you’ve had with a GM product?
-
@Cash-Rewards Probably just the fuel pump, or maybe the carb.
