GM Joint Venture Joins Nio’s Charging Network in China

General Motors’ joint venture in China SAIC GM and Nio announced on Thursday a cooperation on charging services in the country.

This development follows a recent announcement in early April involving Jiyue, a brand formed through a collaboration between Geely Group and Baidu, which has also begun utilizing Nio‘s charging stations.

Drivers of Cadillac and Buick brands, two of SAIC GM brands, will now access Nio’s 3,767 charging stations with a total of 21,912 charging piles across the country,

Nio was opened to all new energy users at the beginning of the construction of the charging pile, and more than 80% of the electricity served electric vehicle brand users other than NIO, providing convenience for all electric vehicle users.

Nio delivered 11,866 vehicles in March, marking a 14.3% increase compared to the previous year. Of the deliveries, 6,737 were SUVs and 5,129 were sedans.
