The Intel Pentium 2117U is a mobile processor with 2 cores, launched in September 2012. It is part of the Pentium lineup, using the Ivy Bridge architecture with Socket G2 (988B). Pentium 2117U has 2 MB of L3 cache and operates at 1800 MHz. Intel is building the Pentium 2117U on a 22 nm production process using 1,400 million transistors. The multiplier is locked on Pentium 2117U, which limits its overclocking capabilities. With a TDP of 17 W, the Pentium 2117U consumes very little energy. Intel's processor supports DDR3 memory with a dual-channel interface. This processor features the Intel HD integrated graphics solution. Hardware virtualization is available on the Pentium 2117U, which greatly improves virtual machine performance.
