CPU Fan 0 RPM, Apple Hardware Test Error 4M0T/4/40000002: CPU-0

I bought this iMac used with a broken CPU fan (Macs Fan Control says 0 RPM) and CPU overheats easily . I bought and installed a used CPU fan off Ebay, but it didn't fix anything. I've already tried resetting SMC.

Is it possible for me to tap the CPU fan connector wire into the ODD fan connector or the HDD fan connector? (It's actually an SSD now.) I'm willing to remove the power from the other fans if you think that 1 socket on the logic board shouldn't power 2 fans. Thanks!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Thanks so much for the reply Teddy. Could you let me know how to do this? I have little knowledge of electricity and soldering, etc.
