High net worth insurance specialist Transamerica Life (Bermuda) has hired a chief operating and transformation officer in Hong Kong.

Andy Wong joins Transamerica as its chief operating and transformation officer (COTO), according to a statement, based in Hong Kong.  

Wong has 25 years of experience, including 18 years of focus on IT and operations in financial services. He was most recently working at Tai Kang Life, where he was responsible for setting up IT, new business, underwriting, customer service and claims. Previously, he also worked at AIA Hong Kong, ING and FT LIFE.

Transamerica is a part of Dutch financial group Aegon and it focuses on providing insurance solutions for high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals. The insurer has had a presence in Asia for more than 85 years and has over 40 years of experience managing universal life portfolios.
