Oil climbs as Gaza tensions rise, Saudi Arabia hikes pricesOil futures climbed on Monday after Saudi Arabia hiked June crude prices for most regions and as the prospect of a Gaza ceasefire deal appeared slim, renewing fears the Israel-Hamas conflict could still widen in the key oil-producing region.
Brent crude futures LCOc1 were up 43 cents, or 0.5%, to US$83.39 a barrel at 1300 GMT, while US West Texas Intermediate crude futures CLc1 were at US$78.62 a barrel, up 51 cents, or 0.7%.
