Some 123 Hong Kong-listed companies bought back shares worth HKD45.7 billion (USD5.8 billion) this year as of March 27, up 225% from a year earlier. Tencent, HSBC Holding, AIA Group, and Meituan were among the firms with the highest value of such repurchases.
