May 17 (Reuters) - Russian oil and gas producer Gazprom Neft will terminate its American depositary receipts (ADR) programme as of June 16, Bank of New York Mellon, an owner of the ADRs, said on Tuesday.

President Vladimir Putin signed in April a bill requiring Russian companies to delist their depositary receipts abroad in a bid to reduce foreigners' control over these firms amid a standoff with the West. (Reporting by Reuters, Editing by Louise Heavens)
