DULUTH — St. Luke's is holding a pop-up Novavax COVID-19 vaccine clinic from 12-4 p.m. Thursday at St. Luke's Denfeld Medical Clinic.

The clinic is open to anyone age 18 and older who has not gotten their COVID-19 vaccine yet. Appointments can be made by calling 218-249-4200.

Novavax is a more traditionally manufactured vaccine with COVID-19 spike protein, compared to previously approved COVID vaccines with mRNA technology. It was authorized for emergency use in adults by the Food and Drug Administration in July, and is under review for authorization for use as a booster.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
