Schools in Jammu and Kashmir, Leh to close for summer vacations from July 4

Schools in Jammu and Kashmir and Leh are going to start summer vacation from July 4. Jammu and Kashmir School education department released a notification on Friday and ordered summer vacation for schools in both divisions. In Leh district schools are being shut due to a spike in COVID-19 cases.
District Magistrate, Leh, Shrikant Balasahib Suse issued an order on Friday ordering a 15-days summer vacation for schools from July 4. The official order reads: "In the wake of the recent spike in the Covid cases, especially among children, it will appropriate to pre-pone the summer vacations in all government and private schools in Leh district as a measure to break the chain of infection."
Ladakh witnessed more than 60 Covid cases in past 6 days which alarmed the administration and they ordered few restrictions to curb any further spread of the virus.
Jammu and Kashmir school summer vacation order was also released on Friday and all schools along with the schools in the winter decision will be closed from July 4.
An official order released by the Principal Secretary of School Education Department, B K Singh states,"It hereby ordered that all the government educational institutions and recognised private schools up to higher secondary level functioning in the Kashmir Division and winter zone of Jammu Division shall observe summer vacation from July 4 to 14, 2022.”
Schools all over the country began the offline classes after a prolonged closure due to COVID-19. Stydents were pursued education through online classes for almost 2 years.
