This is a VP/ Senior Manager role within the Commodity Operations team in Houston. This is a great opportunity to join a high performing, high profile and energized team that provide daily support to our global Commodities trading teams and their clients

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Confirmations team supporting global commodities business including electronic and paper confirmation processes for power, gas, oil & products, metals, agricultural and index products
  • Monitor and report on risk and regulatory metrics relating to confirmation dispatch and execution to ensure compliance with requirements
  • Review and evaluate new product initiatives to assess operational support requirements
  • Assist with embedding risk governance frameworks and supervisory oversight best practices
  • Review strategic opportunities for innovative solutions to automate and simplify, build scale and mitigate risk
  • Mentor and develop future talent within the team


Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience in Commodity Operations management or related role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage to deadlines
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Attention to detail and intermediate problem solving skills
  • Ability to provide ideas and solutions for automation and simplification of process in order to mitigate risk
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface with senior management


Education:

  • Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience
