A motorcyclist was involved in a crash with a car which resulted in them suffering serious injuries. A man in his 50s was badly hurt in the collision with a car on Fauld Lane near Tutbury on Sunday, October 16, police have said.

Officers from Staffordshire Police arrived at the scene shortly after 5.15pm alongside colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service. Upon arrival the motorcyclist was found with serious injuries, said a spokesman.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance where he remains in a serious but stable condition. The force is now appealing for witnesses to the crash or anyone who has information to come forward as they investigate what happened.

Staffordshire police are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a Nissan Qashqui which was seen in the area at the time of the collision. Officers also want to talk with a second motorcyclist who is understood to have been travelling with the injured rider prior to the collision.
